Volunteers are essential to help us keep our community pool and cafe open for all to use. Each season we open whatever the weather and volunteers are needed to guarantee our opening.
Cafe Volunteers
THANK YOU to all volunteers who have offered to help for the 2022 season. The pool can not open without you!
How to join the cafe rota
We have a rota on Stack Team App where you can put your name down for a session. People who don’t have an account on Stack Team App can sign up to volunteer – please follow the instructions below.
People who already have an account on Stack Team App should click on the gearwheel (cog) at the top of the screen when logged onto Greystoke Pool. Next please click on ACCESS GROUPS then click on VOLUNTEERS, add a sort message and press SEND. This will send a message to admin to let you into the group. Any problems, you can chat to the admin in the App or use our contact form.
Who Can be a volunteer?
If you can make a cup of tea, serve ice creams and give change for a fiver, you’re the type of person we’re looking for!
There is nothing onerous about volunteering. We have trained lifeguards and a maintenance team for the tricky stuff! Full training will be provided and then you can sign up for as many or as few hours as you wish at a time that suits you. Its totally flexible. You can pop in any time to see what’s what, you won’t be thrown in at the deep end!
We have many long standing volunteers including, toddler mums, parents, teenagers, senior citizens etc. Its a great way to meet new people, learn a new skill or fill in some time whilst contributing to the continued success of the pool.
96% of people said in a recent survey that they really enjoyed volunteering. Get a warm glow inside and a great feeling from helping out in the community.
Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who give generously of their time, energy and enthusiasm
If you are interested in volunteering please contact us using our enquiry form.
We also rely on volunteers for a whole host of other jobs, including ongoing pool and playpark maintenance, one off pool pre-opening preparation. If you could spare 1 hour or several hours we would love to hear from you.
